Random Name Picker ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect

• Account info — username and hashed password when you register.
• Session data — session codes and member lists for live sessions you create or join.
• Names and picks — the names you add to the picker and pick history stored locally in your browser.
• Chat messages — messages sent during live sessions, deleted automatically after the session ends.

What We Don't Collect

• We do not collect your email address.
• We do not sell your data to anyone.
• We do not track you across other websites.
• We do not use cookies beyond what is needed for authentication.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to operate the app — allowing you to log in, run live sessions, and sync names across devices. We do not use your data for advertising profiling or share it with third parties.

Data Storage

Account data is stored on a secure server hosted by Railway. Name lists and preferences are stored in your browser's local storage and are not transmitted to our servers unless you start a live session.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Fonts — for typography (subject to Google's privacy policy).
• Spotify / YouTube / Apple Music embeds — only loaded when you paste a link (subject to their respective privacy policies).

Data Deletion

You can delete your pick history at any time using the Clear button in the app. To request full account deletion, contact us at the email below.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
